Sunday Could Become Your Child's Favorite Day of the Week

Grace Church Plano is a church that accommodates people from all walks of life. Equally important to our vision is the spiritual growth of our children and that is why we have a dedicated children’s ministry.
Since God’s word, the Bible, forms the foundation for all our teachings, we desire to see young people rooted in the Word so that they carry His truth with them throughout the different stages of their lives.

Train a child in the way they should go so that they will not depart from it’ is what we work towards in our Sunday School. Sunday School at Grace Plano Church doesn’t follow the usual standard Sunday School curriculum; we have so many activities planned throughout the week each designed for specific age groups at their various stages of growth.

We have a specific biblical learning program that the children must follow and different levels that they must master to get to the next level and earn their Masters medal and have their name placed on the GKU Scholars Walk of Fame.
Our various Children’s Ministries
We have age-specific ministries designed to cater to the spiritual needs of every child at each stage of their development. We have therefore catered for this through the establishment of our various children’s ministries.
  • Little Scholars ministry is for children aged three to five. We have a fun educational curriculum that starts with reciting and rehearsing God’s word and learning about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at our bible studies. In the end, each child will receive a certificate once they have mastered the seven simple steps in the program.

We believe a child is never too young to learn and stand on the principle of God’s Word as they encounter trials and tribulation throughout their lifetime, and we enjoy seeing these young children accomplish such amazing feats at such a young age.
  • GKU Scholars is designed for kids from the third through to fifth grade. The curriculum starts to become a bit more challenging as the  children start to get a bit bigger and start to grow in maturity.

They are able to understand and grasp biblical concepts better in our kid’s bible study. Each of our Sunday schools has one common goal -to see the Word of God being used as active living swords in the lives of the next generation as they begin to affect change in both this generation and the next.
  • The GKU master program is just a level up from the GKU Scholars program as Bible knowledge becomes more in-depth and the children are required to go further and deeper in the Bible. Once they complete this, they will be officially awarded a place on the GKU Scholars Walk of Fame and will receive a trophy as a reward for all their outstanding accomplishments.
What will my child learn at children’s bible study?
God’s word is at the center of all we do and our biblical based curriculum is a reflection of that. Each program for each Sunday School is designed for that age group specifically.

The curriculum for Little Scholars is comprised of seven objectives which include hearing and absorbing the entire Beginners Bible, reciting Bible facts, prayer, and verses, and learning kids Christian worship songs.

The GKU Scholars and Masters curriculum will see children being encouraged to delve deeper into the Word of God digging deeper into the Old and New Testament, reciting and learning biblical scripture as well as a practical task of inviting someone new to Sunday school.
Safety Is A Top Priority
In light of the current pandemic we have had to institute social distancing guidelines and implement strict hygiene sanitation practices in our church and Sunday school to ensure it is a safe environment for all who are attending; these include regular hand washing and social distancing.

We take your safety and that of your children very seriously and are therefore taking the strictest precautionary measures here at Grace Plano Church to prevent the spread of this infectious disease.

Kids Church and Sunday mornings are where it’s happening. Your children will thrive here under the teachings of His undeniable, irrefutable, and unchanging Word in our children’s ministry and their lives will be molded and transformed for the better.

What is homecell?
A homecell is a gathering of believers who often meet together for fellowship purposes. It is a platform to win, equip, and edify people who believe in Christ. The gathering usually takes place on a weekly basis and is held at appointed locations with a designated leader responsible for coordinating the group at large.

Homecell is a tool or vehicle whereby evangelism in the Church is done and is also a way to incorporate and develop new Christians to spiritual maturity and into the Church by providing fellowship, follow-up, and nurturing for Christians. A home cell operates through a home cell leader and an assistant home cell leader. The group’s study material is based on the previous Sunday’s service messages.

A home cell is a place to equip its members for the work of the ministry. The cell leader also reduces the pressure and responsibility of the pastors. If or when members have problems or life challenges, this can be sorted out on the cell level.

The home cell and its leaders have a non-threatening environment for spiritual growth. It is a place to build strong, life-changing relationships and is also a place for accountability. Homecell is a place where the unsaved person is given the opportunity to see God’s work in the lives of true believers and establish Christian morals and values in their own lives. The homecell meeting is a place of fellowship, ministry to one another, and outreach. Relationships are, therefore, of vital importance for cell growth and functioning.

Home cell ministry leads to home cell multiplication and so to church expansion. Each member of the home cell’s primary purpose is to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and invite people to the home cell and Sunday services. The home cell raises future leaders and trains others to take responsibility for new believers.
