Discover Support, Guidance and Acceptance at Our Non-Denominational Church Near McKinney, TX

If you are looking for a non-denominational church in or near McKinney, TX, Grace Plano is the new spiritual home you’ve been looking for.
A close-knit, diverse church
Founded in 1982 by Pastor Gerald Brooks, Grace Plano has grown to a weekend attendance of over 5,000 people. It is a bible-based church that welcomes Christians of all denominational and cultural backgrounds. It is a diverse and multiethnic body of believers, with over 35 different nations represented in the congregation. Despite its size, Grace Plano provides a close-knit family environment in which all Christians can find like-minded friends and pastors are willing and able to minister to their particular spiritual needs.

Born in New Mexico and raised in a military family, Pastor Brooks lived in several states, as well as a few years in Germany. Living on military bases, he formed friendships with kids of all different colors, and saw that families of every color were sacrificing for our country. He saw the flag-draped caskets bearing heroes of every color of skin, and learned to respect and honor each one the same. Therefore it was natural for him to build a church that was carefully and strategically intended to welcome people of all racial and cultural backgrounds into one family.

A bible-based, non-denominational community
At Grace Plano, our beliefs and approach transcend the man-made doctrines of the various Christian denominations. While remaining respectful of the specific denominational backgrounds of all our attendees, we base our ministry squarely on the Bible and our central faith in Jesus Christ as our Lord and savior. We believe that the Bible is the inspired and infallible written Word of God. We believe in the Trinity, the forgiveness of sins, the baptism and sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit and the resurrection of the saved to eternal life. These principles guide everything we teach and do.

A family-based, multi-generational congregation
Going hand-in-hand with our commitment to biblical principles is the belief that we are here to support and guide Christians of all ages in their individual walks with Jesus Christ. We don’t merely teach the Word, we live it, and we believe that its fullest expression is always to be found in the collective devotion of Christ’s church. We like to think of ourselves as one big Christian family and we treat our members accordingly, as well as emphasizing family values in the lives of our attendees.

Understanding that all Christians are in different points of their spiritual journeys, as well as at different experiential levels in their secular lives, we have dedicated ministries for children and youths in addition to our main services. Each and every member of your family will find a group and a ministry within the broader Grace Plano community, that speaks to their particular needs and answers the questions they are facing at their specific time of life.

GraceKids is our children’s ministry, while GraceYouth is tailored to young people of high school age. Our LifeGroups are focused on sections of our congregation and ministry that require special attention. They include the Bible by the Book study group, the Foster and Adoption Care Team (FACT), and respective groups for men, women, seniors and married couples.
